DESCRIPTION
Airtight and moisture-protective seals for interior and exterior use. For exterior wall materials of non-woven (exterior wind protection), exterior wind protection board (test adhesion), building foil (vapor barrier) or vapor retarder (non-woven) inside walls and ceilings.
Exterior roof construction of roofing felt or roof underlays (e.g., non-woven material or roofing underlay) as well as foundation constructions (primed surface or polymer moisture protection). Used as accessories for T-Emballage's internal and external climate shields in systems.
The collar consists of an EPDM rubber cylinder, straight or pleated, and a collar of kraft paper with acrylate adhesive or aluminum foil with butyl adhesive, equipped with release paper. Pleated rubber cylinder for pitched and straight for vertical constructions. Kraft paper collar is used on interior surfaces of non-woven or foil as well as exterior wind protection layers of non-woven or as wind protection board as above.
Aluminum foil collar is used on exterior roof surfaces such as non-woven or bitumen and on foundation constructions that have been pre-treated with primer or moisture-protected with polymer.
All constituent materials have good aging properties and are moisture-resistant and airtight.
INSTALLATION
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of grease.
Apply the seal over the pipe/cable and then remove the release paper under the collar with even pressure against the substrate.
For the 100-125 mm seal, the top level of the rubber seal can be cut off when using the maximum diameter.
In cold weather, below +10˚C, it is recommended to store the seal indoors before installation. Carefully consider the installation temperature, as the result depends on it.
For optimal adhesion in colder temperatures, gentle heating with a heat gun can be used.
When installing on bitumen substrates (roofing felt), it is recommended to use/apply bitumen primer K-80 first.
