Surfaces treated with Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 are dirt-repellent and therefore only need to be damp-mopped.
If a renovation is ever planned, this can be done without arduous sanding.

For a number of years, awareness of our ecological footprint has become increasingly widespread in society.
We understood this ten years ago and developed the environmentally friendly product series Ecoline, which contains extra sustainable products with a low solvent content.
To expand the range, the Ecoline series was even supplemented with a hardwax-oil that is completely free of solvents.
Hardener Additive 2K for extra tough requirements
For a more robust surface, Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 can be mixed with Hardener Additive 2K.
In this way, the treated surfaces can be subjected to stress sooner and become more wear-resistant.
The quantities in the additive containers are precisely adapted to the can contents for SAICOS Hardwax-Oil 2.0 (0.75 l and 2.5 l).
Note:
Switch off floor heating 36 hours before application. Switch it back on 24 hours after applying the final coat.
The color result depends on several factors: in addition to wood species and quality, the surface preparation is also crucial.
We recommend a test coating on the original wood to get the most accurate preview of the final result (according to German DIN 18356).
Areas of application:
All types of indoor wooden floors: parquet, solid wood flooring, strip parquet, veneer wood.
All types of cork floors: parquet, cork tiles
Also for other durable wooden surfaces: worktops and tabletops, furniture, and other interior wood - also recommended for children's toys and other wooden objects.
Additionally suitable for hardwood, exotic, and heat-treated wood.
Preparation:
The wood surface must be dry and clean (max. moisture content 12%).
Any varnish or paint residue must be completely sanded off.
Sand the surface thoroughly. Final sanding should be done with a sanding disc or sandpaper min. grit 120 to 150 - also in edge areas.
Remove sanding dust with a dry cloth or vacuum cleaner.
For bathroom furniture, we recommend one coat of SAICOS Ground Oil Extra Thin and two subsequent coats of Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0.
Processing:
1st coat:
Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 is ready for use.
Stir well - do not dilute.
Apply thinly with a SAICOS Double Spreader.
Coverage approx. 15 g/sqm, depending on wood species.
See technical data sheet: polish the coated surface to the desired appearance with a single-disc rotating machine (white or beige pad) after max. 20-30 min.
Drying time: approx. 8–10 hours (depending on temperature and humidity).
After drying, sanding with a single-disc rotating machine (green pad) is recommended.
Oxidative drying - provide open windows during and after application to achieve good air circulation.
2nd coat:
Stir well - do not dilute.
Apply thinly with a SAICOS Double Spreader. Polish the coated surface with a single-disc rotating machine (white or beige pad) to the desired result after max. 20-30 min.
After another 15-20 minutes, polish a second time.
Drying time: approx. 8–10 hours (depending on temperature and humidity).
Walkable after approx. 8 hours.
Best processing temperature: between 8°C and 35°C
Renovation:
Clean the surface with Ecoline Magic Cleaner first. No sanding required.
No full sanding required - we recommend a light cleaning of the surface with SAICOS Abrasive fleece pad 410 mm art. No. 0950 727 (maroon pad) - simply apply a new layer of Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 to the cleaned floor.
Surfaces previously finished with Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 must be renovated with Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0.
Coverage depends on wood species and surface structure.
Storage:
At least 5 years in a sealed container. The liquid product is not sensitive to frost. To restore good spreadability after exposure to frost, store at room temperature for several hours and stir.
Tool cleaning:
With SAICOS Brush Cleaner.
