-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting with an isolating/blocking primer. This is done to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new wallpaper. Suitable paint includes Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun's primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wash down with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be of the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
