-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with an insulating/sealing paint. This is done to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new one. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s Primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with a sugar soap solution.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably in white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
