-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper scraps or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all layers of old wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with insulating/blocking paint. This is done to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling up once you have hung the new paper. Suitable paints include Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wash down with paint cleaner.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably in white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
