-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with insulating/blocking paint. This reduces the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling when you apply the new wallpaper. Suitable paint includes Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wash down with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be of the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
