-The wall should be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old wallpaper layers, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking primer. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper underneath bubbling. Suitable paint includes Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably in white. The entire wall must be of the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
