-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.

-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall with an insulating/sealing paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpapers bubbling. Suitable paint includes Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s Primer for wallpaper. Once painted, sand lightly and wash off with sugar soap.

-When applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must have the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type in point 3 above.
