-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all layers of old wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking primer. This is to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling when you hang the new wallpaper. Suitable paints include Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wash down with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably in white. The entire wall must have the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
