A glass fiber-reinforced 2-component polyester filler for repairing rust holes in cars and for sheet metal and plastic damage, featuring excellent adhesion and elasticity compared to similar products. Sandable after approx. 15 min.

Area of use:
Suitable applications include, among others, the repair of rusted car body panels, the reinforcement of profiles or beams, and certain boat repair work, etc.
NOTE! We strictly advise against using glass fiber filler to repair holes that go all the way through fiberglass-reinforced boats, as the reinforcement effect is not sufficiently high for this purpose. Surface cracks in such boats should be repaired with, for example, Stålplast Micro instead.
Pretreatment:
The filler should only be used on dry and well-cleaned surfaces. Degrease with Hagmans Silicone Remover. Sand the repair area thoroughly with sandpaper to remove rust and loose paint. Degrease the surface again after sanding.
Mixing:
Stålplast Glass Fibre comp. A must be mixed thoroughly with 2–3% hardener comp. B on, for example, a glass or wooden board. Do not mix more at a time than can be used within 5 minutes.
Application:
Apply with a steel or rubber spreader. The best working temperature is +20°C. The working time is then around 5 minutes and the curing time approx. 15 minutes. Clean tools and the mixing board after use with ethyl acetate or thinner.
Finishing:
Once the filler has cured, sand the surface with coarse sandpaper. If a smooth and fine surface is desired, it should be leveled with Stålplast Flexible, Fine, or Micro.

What surfaces is Stålplast Glass Fibre suitable for?
The filler is suitable for repairing rusted car body panels, reinforcing profiles and beams, as well as certain boat repairs. NOTE: Do not use glass fiber filler to repair holes that go through fiberglass-reinforced boats – the reinforcement effect is not sufficient. Instead, use Stålplast Micro for surface cracks on such boats.
How long does the filler last?
The storage time is 18 months in an unopened package. Applied filler will last as long as the surrounding paint system if treated correctly.
What does 2-component filler mean?
You mix comp. A (the filler) with 2–3% comp. B (the hardener) on a glass or wooden board until a homogeneous color is obtained. Only mix as much as you can use within 5 minutes.
How much filler do I need?
The filler is applied in layers adapted to the depth of the damage. For occasional rust holes, 180 ml is enough for several repairs. Choose 550 ml or 1.3 L for larger jobs. Remember to finish with a fine filler (Flexible, Fine, or Micro) for a smooth surface.
At what temperature can I apply the filler?
The best working temperature is +20°C. Lower temperatures prolong the gel time and drying time. Do not use the filler on cold or damp surfaces.
Do I need to prime before I fill?
The surface must be dry, cleaned, and free from rust, oil, and grease. Degrease with Hagmans Silicone Remover, sand, and degrease again. No separate priming is normally required, but always finish with a fine filler for the best surface result.
Is the product environmentally friendly?

Can I fill it myself or do I need a painter?
The product can be used by the DIY enthusiast for car repairs and simpler sheet metal work. Precision during mixing is required due to the short gel time. For professional paint results, experience in sheet metal and paint work is recommended.
