Gjøco Limewash is a mineral-based lime paint for indoor use in dry areas. It creates a vibrant, concrete-like surface. Used on construction boards, plaster, concrete, and filled surfaces. In areas with a risk of abrasion, moisture, or water splashes, a topcoat of Gjøco Sealer is recommended.

TECHNICAL DATA
Pre-treatment
The surface must be solid, clean, and dry. Clean with Gjøco House Wash or another cleaner. Previously oil-painted surfaces, MDF, and hard or glossy surfaces must be sanded with sandpaper. On previously painted surfaces, it is recommended to perform a test application to ensure the surface can withstand lime paint. Let it dry for a few days before evaluating the results. If in doubt, it is recommended to apply a coat of Gjøco Sealer or Gjøco Interiör 10 before applying Gjøco Limewash. This also applies to matte and absorbent surfaces.
Application
Apply one coat of Gjøco Limewash. The paint should be applied with a brush and using a cross-brushing technique to achieve a vibrant surface. Usually, one coat is sufficient. If more than one coat is desired, do a test application first, as a second coat can result in a different color reproduction. The width of the brush affects the result; the narrower the brush, the more pronounced the color reproduction. A 100mm brush provides a nice result, but other sizes can also be used. Perform a test application.
Storage
When storing leftover paint, close the lid tightly to prevent spills and drying. The paint should be transported, stored, and kept standing upright, in a dry, frost-free location.
Waste management
Liquid paint must not be poured into the drain or the environment, but taken to an approved collection point for hazardous waste.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Different production batches should be mixed before use for the final coat to avoid variations in gloss and color. Stir well before use. Gjøco Limewash is a breathable paint with a high pigment content. It has limited washability and will change color if exposed to moisture, grease, and water splashes. It is recommended to treat with Gjøco Sealer on surfaces where there is a risk of abrasion, moisture, and water splashes. Gjøco Sealer provides a deeper color. Can etch glass and metal. Due to the paint's composition, some colors may have higher viscosity. The paint is darker when wet and will change during drying.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Pre-treatment
The surface must be clean and dry. Clean if necessary with Gjøco House Wash. Follow the instructions on the packaging. Previously oil-painted surfaces, nicotine stains, MDF, and hard or glossy surfaces must be sanded with sandpaper and primed with Gjøco Barrier Primer.
Application
Apply evenly and generously in 1-2 coats. On absorbent and porous surfaces, 3 coats are recommended to avoid stains. Avoid going back over a semi-dry coat with a roller.
Additional information
Stir thoroughly. Different production batches should be mixed before use for the final coat to avoid variations in gloss. The paint must be protected from frost. The application temperature for both air and surface must be at least +10°C. The paint must not freeze. Liquid paint must not be poured into the drain but delivered to an approved recycling station.
