Description
Gjøco AquaShield Siloxane Masonry Primer is a high-quality primer specifically developed for mineral substrates. The primer is suitable for use on untreated masonry, concrete, brick, and plaster before painting with a suitable AquaShield product. Brick must be sanded before repainting.
The product is also well-suited as a dust binder and impregnation for garage floors, walls, etc., where you do not want paint. Recommended as a primer for roof tiles before overcoating with Gjøco Takdekk. The primer seals the pores in the roof tile and prevents frost cracking and peeling.

Pre-treatment
Loose masonry and plaster should be brushed/scraped. On new concrete/walls to be painted after priming with AquaShield Siloxane Masonry Primer, cement laitance must be removed by mechanical sanding. Concrete and cement roof tiles are cleaned with Gjøco House Wash and high-pressure washing. It is important that loose particles, algae, fungi, moss, and other contaminants are removed. The substrate must be dry before the primer is applied. When using on concrete and cement elements, check for any moisture or release agent residue.
Application
AquaShield Siloxane Masonry Primer is ready to use and should generally not be thinned. Apply 1–2 coats depending on the nature and absorbency of the substrate. The primer should soak into the substrate and not form a film. Apply with a roller, brush, or spray.
Storage
Close the lid tightly when storing paint to prevent spills and drying out. The paint should be transported and stored upright, in a dry, frost-free location.
Waste disposal
Liquid paint must not be poured into drains or released into nature but must be taken to an approved collection point for hazardous waste. Empty, clean, and dry packaging can be delivered to an approved reception facility.
