Treatment
Faxe Wood Lye Original and Faxe Wood Lye Natural are used for coniferous woods such as pine, spruce, pitch pine, Douglas fir, etc. Faxe Wood Lye Original gives the wood a white-washed patina. Faxe Wood Lye Natural adds a golden tone to the wood. Faxe Hardwood Lye is used for light hardwood species such as oak, beech, ash, maple, etc. Faxe Hardwood Lye makes the wood light and white-washed. Faxe's lye types are used on new, untreated, or freshly sanded wood on floors, walls, ceilings, tabletops, doors, and furniture—everywhere you want to keep light wood looking bright and natural.

After-treatment
Once the wood is dry, it is recommended to finish floors, tabletops, and furniture with Faxe wood oils. Faxe oils are available in a natural version and a white-pigmented version.

Faxe oil treatments make the wood particularly resistant to spills and wear. If you want the wood to be naturally light and white-washed, choose Faxe Floor Oil White or Faxe Wood Oil White. If you want the wood to have a golden tone, choose Faxe Floor Oil Natural or Faxe Wood Oil Natural.

Treatment with soap is recommended for wood where you want a beautiful, silk-matte, and completely natural surface. Faxe Floor/Panel Soap White gives the wood a naturally light surface, and Faxe Floor/Panel Soap Natural gives the wood a light and golden color tone.
