-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/blocking primer. This reduces the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling up beneath the new. Suitable paint includes Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, lightly sand and clean with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be of the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
