SAICOS Additive Hardener 2K
For faster drying and higher load capacity
On construction sites, work is often done under time pressure.
For a finish that only takes one day, we therefore recommend the Additive Hardener 2K.
It provides higher final hardness.

Additive Hardener 2K in SAICOS Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 provides a more robust surface finish.
Surfaces treated with it generally receive full protection sooner and have higher wear resistance.
The quantity in the additive container has been precisely adjusted for SAICOS Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0.
Areas of application:
With the Additive Hardener 2K, the curing of Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 is improved even under difficult working conditions, e.g., high humidity.
In general, coated surfaces can be walked on sooner and have improved abrasion resistance.
Preparation:
Turn off underfloor heating 36 hours before application. Turn it
back on 24 hours after applying the final coat.
Pour the additive into the
corresponding Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 can, stir well - do not dilute.
The wood surface must be dry and clean (max. moisture content
12%).
Any paints and varnishes must be removed (final sanding
grit 120-150).
Remove dust thoroughly. Previously oiled or waxed surfaces do not require sanding.
Important: Use Ecoline Hardwax-Oil 2.0 with hardener within one hour.
Do not close the can after mixing the two components.
Application:
Apply with the SAICOS double blade scraper.
Note: The quantity in the additive containers matches the specific can
size 0.75 L and 2.5 L.
Use only one additive per can.
NOTE! Use two cans of Additive Hardener 2K if covering soft wood such as spruce, pine, etc.
Number of coats:
For untreated floors: 2 coats (primer unnecessary).
Apply
thinly and evenly. Do not use Additive Hardener 2K, only in
the final coat.
Always use the Additive Hardener 2K twice.
Oxidative drying: Ensure open windows during and after
application to achieve good air circulation.
Application:
Renovation: 1 coat
Best application temperature: Between 8°C and 35°C
Coverage depends on wood species and surface structure.
Drying time:
Min. 8-10 hours (depending on temperature and humidity).
Full curing of the surface after approx. 1 day.
Oxidative drying:
Ensure open windows during and after application to achieve
good air circulation.
Easy maintenance:
Cleaning and maintenance: Daily cleaning with a broom, mop, or vacuum cleaner.
Mop damp (Ecoline Wash Care).
Persistent dirt and stains (e.g., from rubber soles) can be removed with Ecoline Wax Care.
Intensive cleaning:
We recommend our Ecoline Magic Cleaner.
