Acrylate paint for treating roof tiles.
Gjøco Takdekk is an outdoor acrylate paint for treating roofs made of concrete or cement tiles, corrugated metal, galvanized metal, aluminum, steel, asbestos cement, etc. Not suitable for use on asphalt roofing felt/shingles and Supereternit. Gjøco Takdekk has excellent weather resistance and extends the service life of the roof by many years.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Pre-treatment
The surface must be dry and free from grease, oil, rust, and loose old paint. Algae and moss are removed with Gjøco Algrent. Rusty surfaces should be sandblasted to SA 2½ or brushed to SA 2.
Grease, oil, and other contaminants are washed off with Gjøco Hustvätt. Rinse well with clean water. Allow to dry thoroughly before further treatment. Untreated aluminum roofs should first be primed with a suitable primer before applying Gjøco Takdekk. Rusty metal roofs should be primed with Gjøco Antirustprimer after all rust has been ground/brushed off, then painted with Gjøco Takdekk.
NOTE! Be aware that it can be difficult to achieve good adhesion on Eternit and new galvanized sheet metal.
Application method
Gjøco Takdekk should normally not be thinned. Stir well before use. Mix different batch numbers before use to avoid gloss and color differences. Dew drops on semi-dry surfaces can cause dull spots. Dull spots can also occur if the paint dries at low temperatures and high humidity. Sun on wet or semi-dry surfaces can cause blistering.
Storage
The product must be stored in accordance with national regulations. Containers must be kept tightly closed and stored in a dry place at an even temperature. Do not expose to frost.
Waste management
Liquid paint should not be poured into drains or the environment, but taken to an approved collection point for hazardous waste.
