Gjøco Antirustprimer/Anti-corrosion primer is an alkyd-based zinc phosphate primer for steel structures where high demands are placed on corrosion protection. Used as a primer for steel structures and steel. Overcoat with Gjøco Enamel Paint 90.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Pre-treatment

The surface must be dry and free from grease, oil, rust, and loose old paint. Rusty surfaces should be sandblasted to SA 2½ or brushed to SA 2. Grease, oil, and other contaminants should be washed off with Gjøco Power Wash and high-pressure cleaning. Rinse well with clean water. 

 

Application

Stir well before use. Thinning is generally not recommended. If thinning is required, use mineral spirits. Only paint clean and dry surfaces, and when the metal, air, and paint have temperatures above 0° C. The temperature of the steel must be 3° C above the dew point when the paint is applied. Clean spray equipment with mineral spirits. Suitable topcoats are Gjøco Enamel Paint 90.

 

Other information

The product must be stored in accordance with national regulations. Containers must be kept tightly closed and stored in a dry place at an even temperature.
