APPLICATIONS
Bostik S730 Silicone Glass & Wetroom is specially developed for durable elastic joints in bathrooms, showers, wet room flooring, window sealing, as well as industrial applications.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Joints of the correct size can absorb the movements of surrounding building materials. The depth of the joint must be the correct size in relation to the width of the joint. As a rule, the ratio between the joint's width and depth should be 1:1 at a width of up to 10 mm, with a depth or width of at least 5 mm. For joints wider than 10 mm, the depth should be the width divided by 3 plus 6 mm.
LIMITATIONS
-Not suitable for substrates of PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene, and bitumen-Not suitable for substrates such as concrete, marble, copper, and stainless steel
PREPARATION AND SURFACE TREATMENT
Application temperature +5 °C to +40 °C (depending on environment and substrate). The substrate must be firm, clean, and free from dust and grease. Clean the substrate. Bostik S730 Silicone Glass & Wetroom has perfect adhesion without a primer on most non-porous substrates. Porous substrates must be pre-treated with Bostik PRIMER 5075. Always test the adhesion before using the sealant. Use Bostik T500 FINISHING SOAP to smooth the joint.
PAINTABILITY
Bostik S730 Silicone Glass & Wetroom is not paintable. We recommend covering the edges of the joint with masking tape to prevent surfaces that need to be painted from being soiled by silicone.
CLEANING
All tools should be cleaned with water after use or with Bostik CLEANING WIPES. You can wash your hands with and/or soap and water. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
SHELF LIFE
Unopened packaging + 5°C and + 25°C, shelf life is 24 months from production date, store in a dry place.

How long does the joint last?

Pre-treatment
Before application, all surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, soap residue, and old sealant. Remove any old silicone sealant with a joint scraper or knife. Clean the surface thoroughly with a suitable cleaner and allow to dry completely. For best adhesion, the surface can be wiped with alcohol or acetone just before application. Mask adjacent surfaces with masking tape for a neat result.
Application
Cut the tip of the tube at the desired angle and size depending on the joint's width. Insert the tube into a caulking gun and apply an even layer of silicone along the joint. Pull the gun evenly and continuously for best results. Smooth the joint immediately with a moist joint tool or spatula before the silicone cures. Remove the masking tape immediately after application. Let the silicone cure according to the manufacturer's instructions (usually 24 hours) before exposing the surface to water. Ventilate well during curing.
