Gjøco Boat Varnish is an extra light varnish based on urethane alkyd. The varnish provides a hard and durable surface that is easy to keep clean. Contains UV filters that reduce yellowing of the wood. Applied to wood above the waterline, both indoors and outdoors.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Pre-treatment
The surface must be clean, dry, and free from grease, wax, and soap residues. Grease and contaminants are removed with Gjøco House Wash. Let dry before further treatment. Sand the surface matte and smooth. Orbital sanding ensures correct and uniform sanding.
Application method
On bare and sanded wood, thin the varnish with 20% white spirit for the first coat. Sand matte and vacuum between coats to ensure adhesion. Apply the varnish lengthwise along the boards. Boat varnish is also suitable for varnishing wooden floors, panels, cork, furniture, doors, and windows.
Other information
Stir well before use. Different production numbers should be mixed before use to avoid gloss differences. Thick layers and low temperatures increase drying time. Do not expose the paint to wear before it is fully cured (3-4 days).

Full adhesion is achieved after 4 weeks of curing. May vary with changes in temperature, humidity, ventilation, and film thickness.
