-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with an insulating/sealing paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new wallpaper. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun's Primer for wallpaper. Once you have painted, sand lightly and wash off with sugar soap.
