-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or plaster dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to seal the wall by painting it with an insulating/sealing primer. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper bubbling under the new wallpaper. Suitable paints include Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wipe down with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably in white. The entire wall must be the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
