-The wall must be solid and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall by painting it with an insulating/sealing primer. This is done to reduce the risk of the old wallpapers bubbling when you hang the new wallpaper. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wash with sugar soap.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must have the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type mentioned in point 3 above.
