-The wall must be firm and clean, with no loose wallpaper flakes or filler dust.
-If you have not removed all old layers of wallpaper, which is recommended, it is a good idea to prime the wall with insulating/sealing paint. You do this to reduce the risk of the old wallpaper you are covering bubbling up. Suitable paint is Sigma Isotop Primer or Jotun’s wallpaper primer. Once painted, sand lightly and wash with paint cleaner.
-Where applicable, prime the wall, preferably white. The entire wall must be of the same shade if the wallpaper is of the type in point 3 above.
