Gammeldags Trallsåpa is a Swedish-made traditional surface treatment for outdoor wood. A solvent-free soap based on soybean fats, which replenishes and protects the wood, while providing a smooth and pleasant surface.
Basic treatment, maintenance, and cleaning in one product
Gammeldags Trallsåpa can be used as an alternative to, for example, wood oil for the basic treatment of outdoor wooden decking. The same product is then used for maintenance and cleaning outdoors.
Environment
Gammeldags Trallsåpa is pH-neutral when mixed. It has been recommended by the Byggvarubedömningen (Construction Material Assessment) and awarded an A-rating by Sunda Hus.
The soap is available uncolored and with a bit of white pigment, which adds brightness.

Which surfaces is Gammeldags Trallsåpa suitable for? Excellent for decking, balconies, and terraces made of spruce or pine. Can also be used on other untreated outdoor wooden surfaces.
Do I need to prime first? No – the Deck Soap functions as a basic treatment, maintenance, and cleaner all in one step.
How much do I need? Basic treatment: 2 liters of soap to 8 liters of water is enough for approx. 40–70 m². Cleaning: 1 dl per 10 liters of water.
Is the product environmentally friendly? Yes. pH-neutral in mixed form, solvent-free, rated A by SundaHus, and recommended by Byggvarubedömningen.
Can I apply it myself? Absolutely – use a brush, scrubbing block/scrubbing nylon, or a cloth. No painter is needed.
