Rubber collars equipped with a self-adhesive butyl backing (according to 3:1) are available in various standard diameters. Remove the protective paper under the collar. Press the collar down against the substrate and fix it in place with a roller. Rubber collars that are not self-adhesive (according to 3:2) are installed in the same way but adhered to the substrate with the accessory Sealing Tape Butyl or butyl compound T-Fix in three beads forming completely closed rings. After curing, the outer edge of the 3:2 collar is taped for protection with Sealing Tape T-Flex.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eSeal the top of the rubber collar around the pipe\/cable with either a hose clamp or Sealing Tape Butyl. In cooler weather (\u0026lt;10 °C), store all included products in a warm place before installation. Heat gently with a hot air gun during application if necessary. At temperatures \u0026lt;5 °C, supplement the sealing of the joint with butyl compound.\u003cbr\u003e• Before installation\/covering, the membrane must be inspected for damage. These must be repaired and sealed with jointing aids and\/or a patch of the membrane.\u003cbr\u003e• Use on moisture-prone substrates (such as concrete) should be dimensioned according to their moisture content.
